Prologue Progression & Puzzle Sequence Overview

The Prologue introduces Mellow, the desktop terminal puzzle (Doors.exe), the multi-lock kitchen refrigerator, and the first boss brawl against Clockey. Use the reference table below to track every required item and room trigger in order:

Step-by-Step Prologue Walkthrough

1. The Computer Room & Doors.exe

1. Examine the framed drawing on the wall to the left of the computer desk. Exhaust all five dialogue questions with the creature inside: ask who he is, why he is framed, what he wants, what he eats, and where to find coins. Note the mouse hole beneath the frame (reaching inside empty-handed causes a bite).
2. Inspect underneath the computer desk and plug in the loose power cable.
3. Boot the desktop monitor, select the Mellow user profile, launch Doors.exe, and click Door 1.
4. Step away from the monitor to find a physical door manifested at the top of the bedroom staircase.

Optional Achievement: Kick the soccer ball in the corner of Mellow’s bedroom and keep it in the air until the counter reaches 100 points to unlock Footwork Master.

2. The Hallway, Tip & the Bathroom Plunger

1. Walk up the stairs and open the door marked “Do Not Open” to wake the sleeping signpost named Tip. Speak politely and ask for a tip. If you insult Tip by wishing he had no mouth, he disappears until you step away, return, and apologize.
2. Continue to the Bathroom at the end of the hall. Collect the Plunger from the floor and use it on the toilet bowl. The toilet entity offers to transport Mellow out of the house once you supply the secret password.

3. The Chair Vent & Kitchen Fridge Puzzle

1. Return to the computer room and spin the rolling office chair until the secret floor vent unlatches, then crawl inside to reach the Kitchen.
2. As soon as the kitchen creature approaches, hide inside one of the open cabinets. When the creature asks which cabinet Mellow is hiding in, point to the other cabinet so it checks the wrong door and leaves the room.
3. Approach the locked Refrigerator and complete the seven-stage lock sequence in order:
   • Smash the protective glass cover with the hammer.
   • Press the domino buttons in sequence: 1 -> 2 -> 3.
   • Match the colored geometric shapes: Blue -> Rectangle, Red -> Circle, Yellow -> Triangle.
   • Pull the hanging rope, insert the key, flip both toggle switches, and pull the fridge handle to claim the Cheese.
4. Climb onto the stool above the right-hand cabinet to re-enter the vent. Immediately mash A during the chase QTE to crawl left before the monster catches Mellow. The vent collapses permanently once you exit.

4. Trading Coins for the Cheshire Password

1. Place the Cheese into the mouse hole beneath the framed wall creature in the computer room.
2. When the creature emerges to eat the cheese, walk across it to gather the dropped coins.
3. Feed two coins into the framed creature’s mouth to receive the bathroom password: Cheshire.

5. How to Defeat Clockey (6-Round Hallway Boss)

Exiting the computer room triggers the Prologue boss fight against Clockey:

• Hold M2 (Right-Click) to raise Mellow’s guard and lean the mouse left or right to match the direction of Clockey’s incoming punches.
• Wait for Clockey’s tell: when the clock leans forward and laughs, counterattack with M1 (Left-Click).
• Manage your green stamina gauge carefully, as Mellow cannot swing or block when stamina is depleted. Landing counterpunches across 6 rounds knocks Clockey out and unlocks the Time Out achievement.

6. Flushing into Chapter 1

Return to the bathroom, apply the Plunger to the toilet, and enter Cheshire at the prompt to flush into Chapter 1 (Timesville).
